Signing up your dog for a training program during a boarding stay at one of our partner facilities is a great way to improve your dog’s basic obedience. Our board and train packages allow your dog to learn important commands and behaviors while simultaneously giving them important socialization time with other dogs.

Lesson Plans

7 Lesson Board and Train (Level 1)

Includes:

  • One 1 hour orientation with pet parent
  • Five 45 min training sessions with dog
  • One 1 hour final follow up session with pet parent


Commands Taught:

  • Sit
  • Down
  • Name Recognition
  • Leave-It
  • Drop-It


Behaviors:

  • Appropriate interactions with people (no jumping, mouthing)
  • Loose leash walking (no pulling)
14 Lesson Board and Train (Level 2)

Includes:

  • One 1 hour orientation with pet parent
  • Twelve 45 min training sessions with dog
  • One 1 hour final follow up session with pet parent


Commands Taught:

  • All Level 1 commands
  • Recall
  • Stay
  • Go to place


Behaviors:

  • All Level 1 behaviors
  • Desensitization work on any applicable fears/phobias (loud noises, large cars, etc)
Specialty Board and Train

If your dog has a specific issue that needs work, let us know and we can develop a plan specific to your dog, assuming board and train is appropriate.

Possible Issues of Focus:

  • Recall in different outdoor environments
  • Trick Training
  • Agility (only at certain locations)
  • Resource guarding *depending on severity
  • Fear of city environment (traffic, loud noises, etc)
  • On-leash reactivity *depending on severity, and only if reactivity is only when on-leash.
